You know how they say that the truth will always comes to light?
Well it does!
How we truly feel about ourselves will come to light as well …
Growing up shy, I had many insecurities that I eventually overcame. Now that I reflect, I realized that I eventually learned to stand up for myself and take my worth seriously.
However, it took me awhile to overcome these insecurities and to stand up for myself.
Through the process of my growth, I learned that … everything matters.
1) How we feel about ourselves reflects the relationships and interactions around us.
2) How we treat ourselves.
3) How we represent ourselves.
4) How we chose to value ourselves.
If you don’t stand up for yourself, people will walk all over you like a doormat. Trust me, I’ve been there and it’s not where you want to be.
Am I saying to be an arrogant person? Nope, not at all.
What I am suggesting is to know your worth and ACT like you know your worth.
Consider This …
If you don’t believe you’re worthy, how do you expect other people to believe you’re worthy?
If you don’t take yourself seriously, how could you expect other people to take you seriously?
Throughout my transitioning, I had to ask myself these questions and it forced me out of my shell because I knew I deserve better.
I’m not saying it’s easy. I’m not saying it’s an overnight process … but it is attainable.
I had to recognize and acknowledge what I bring to the table so I won’t be another doormat to anyone else! It’d be disrespectful to myself if I didn’t!
Disregarding your worth is disrespectful to you! You know why?
1) Because your existence is a blessing. You’re an asset to many lives and this world needs your greatness!
2) Because you have purpose. Whether you have figured it out or not- you were put on this earth to fulfill unique pursuits that other people can’t do because they AREN’T you!
Check out this blog where I discuss in detail about purpose!

Believing in yourself will take you so far in life. After all, what we feed our minds will eventually become our realities.
Do not hesitate to claim your power. You are the one in control of your thoughts.
You are not ‘stuck up’ for cutting off relationships that don’t value you!
How can you be at peace with yourself when you’re surrounded by people who damage your energy!
