It’s funny because people always talk about the “winners circle” and the “losers circle.”

My question is, what makes a winner a winner and what makes a loser a loser?

Time is flying; it feels like 2020 just started and now there’s only one month left. Life flies by just like that …

2020 has made me reflect upon what it means to be happy.

What is happiness in this life?

As this year comes to an end, I realized that as it moves so fast, I’m not present enough.

What about you? Would you say you’re present in the present?

How would you rate your level of happiness between 1-10?

As each day goes by, we’re either rushing to work, school, or whatever. We sometimes don’t realize our days are flying by and that results in us making less time for ourselves.

Don’t you think you deserve better?

As the months go on, we’re just getting closer to our expiration dates (our deaths). Sorry to be a dippy-downer but it’s true.

So why wait until I turn a certain age to pursue something? How do I know I will make it to that age? I don’t.

I am my greatest investment! You are your greatest investment! So how are we investing in ourselves?

Does this mean you have to be productive 24/7? Nope. We’re in a pandemic!!! It’s okay to not be okay!!

Nobody said you can’t love yourself while being a working progress! For your own sake, strive to understand the gap between where you are vs. where you want to be because that matters and will affect your happiness!

You should be your own competition! The goal should be to outdo yourself- compete with yourself. After all, you live with yourself forever.

Please don’t compare your progress to anyone else’s!

You want to know why? Because comparing yourself to others will be the killer of your happiness.

You’d just get your feelings hurt for something that’s not worth it.

Keep in mind that your story and someone else’s story is different for a reason. Allah tests us all differently and He does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear!

I find peace in that.

You may be at chapter three while the person you’re comparing yourself to is on their chapter twenty. See why you shouldn’t compare?

Who wants to be unhappy? I can’t guarantee you happiness in this life but I can tell you one way you can avoid unhappiness.

Instead of comparing yourself to others, compare your current-self to your past-self; you’ll realize how far you’ve come!

Life goes by so fast that we ignore our growth.

It’s easy for us to undermine how far we’ve come but we need celebrate EVERY win! It’s amazing to take the time to reflect.

You have only truly failed when you give up on YOU.

So don’t give up on yourself.

Please take care of yourselves, wear your masks, practice social distancing, and take breaks when needed.

Wishing you all the best! Xoxo
