“New People = New Opportunities.”

Have you ever heard that “closed mouths don’t get fed?” Well, they really don’t lol.

Generally speaking, we advocate for ourselves by speaking up.

I have always been shy and I’m not going to lie, it’s definitely affected how I advocated for myself in the past.

With time however, I learned to become more comfortable with BEING uncomfortable.

Does that make sense?

College helped me to maneuver through my personal struggles of opening up to new people and striving for everything that scares me!

Yes you read that right! Striving for what scares me!

How often do you push yourself to interact with new/different people beyond your friend group?

As a shy person, one of my biggest anxieties is getting to know people. Can you relate?

One of the ways I’ve gotten through that is by being apart of mentorship programs.

Quick Growth Tip:

Wanna know how I tackled my fear of interactions? Through NETWORKING.

Networking is not just about business- it’s beyond that. Connections are important even outside of business matters!

The more you interact with other people, the more you can learn and have opportunities that shape your life possibly for the better.

For example, I went to a campus event and I met another blogger!

It was an exciting and rewarding experience because we both discussed our craft, our missions, and why we do what we do. That is meaningful.

Facing that fear was worth it!

Somewhere down the line, you’re going to have to break those barriers and step out of your comfort zone for the sake of YOUR personal development.

Ever heard of, “you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take?”

That saying applies here! So what does that saying mean here?!

It means …. do it scared 😉

Again- you miss 100 percent of the shots you DON’T take, so why not?

Life is a teacher so don’t be afraid to make mistakes- those mistakes are what helps us become better versions of ourselves 🙂

Need Advice on How to Interact With New People?

Here Are 2 Very Doable Tips!

1) Get A Mentor!

I cannot tell you how much having a mentor and being apart of mentorship programs have helped me. I am grateful to have that opportunity because it’s opened doors for me and is the reason why Awoken By Hadi exists!

Many mentorship programs are FREE, so if you’re interested, do some research and find the one that’s right for you!

I highly recommend this- life is hard, and you can’t always do it all!

2) Shift your Mindset- Growth Mindset > Fixed Mindset

Having a fixed mindset limits the possibility of you becoming the best version of you. That’s a problem for me!

Please don’t be afraid to ‘not know‘; IT’S OKAY- THIS IS LIFE REMEMBER.

Moral of This Blog:

It’s not a lie that networking is key in life and that closed mouths WON’T GET FED. You never know who knows who, what opportunities they know about, or what knowledge they can share with you!

I’m not saying that you’ve got to be open arms 24-7 but just keep an open mind when it comes to opportunities and networking.

Always Take Advantage of Those Two!

Wishing you guys a month full of blessings and success 💞.
